🤡 A Bloody Love Letter to ’80s Slashers
Clown in a Cornfield is exactly what it promises—a fast-paced, bloody slasher that plays like an ’80s B-horror flick in the best way possible. It’s got the small-town backdrop, the creepy setup, and the killer-in-a-mask chaos you want from this kind of story. The suspense works, the pacing never drags, and while it’s not nightmare fuel, it knows how to build tension and keep you hooked. Bonus points for a twist I didn’t see coming.

🪓 Teenagers, Trouble, and the Porch Yell Factor
I’ll be honest—at first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the teen characters. Maybe that’s because I’m creeping up on 40 and have fully crossed into “relates more to the parents yelling from the porch” territory. Yes, I think teenagers can be annoying little assholes sometimes. No, I don’t think they deserve to be hunted down by killer clowns. Once I adjusted to the book’s campy slasher energy, though, I was all in.

🌽 Popcorn Horror Done Right
At its core, this is a fun, self-aware horror romp that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It leans into the genre tropes without feeling lazy, and it knows exactly what kind of ride it’s taking you on. If you’re into small-town horror, throwback slashers, and that perfect popcorn-movie vibe, this is one you’ll have a blast with. I’ll definitely be checking out the sequel.

📖 Final Thoughts
Clown in a Cornfield delivers exactly what it promises—chaos, blood, and a whole lot of fun.
